Brian Kent
Brian started playing saxophone at age eight, growing up in a musical family heavily influenced by his father, an accomplished jazz drummer.
He is a magna cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, with a bachelor’s degree in jazz performance.
Since moving to Seattle in 1988, he is known as a preeminent Northwest saxophone player, instantly recognizable for his gorgeous tone, rhythmic precision and natural musical sense. Brian is the consummate professional, extremely versatile in all styles of music – straight ahead, Cuban or Brazilian jazz or free improvisation.
