Jacques Willis
Drummer and vibraphonist Jacques Willis is an award winning jazz and fusion artist from Anchorage, Alaska. He has been described as “exciting, endlessly creative, and destined for more than northern exposure” by Earshot Jazz, The News Tribune (Tacoma), and Keyboard Magazine respectively.
After graduating with a music degree from Cornish College of The Arts in 2003, Willis has gone on to perform with internationally acclaimed musicians such as

In 2003, he was invited to perform on Paul Rucker’s award winning record entitled “History of an Apology.” In 2004, he went onto win Keyboard Magazine’s “Unsigned Artist of the Month” award along with collaborator Ty Bailie, for their record “Extra Double Bonus Good.”
Jacques Willis’s music has been featured on Jazziz, Keyboard Magazine, Earshot Jazz, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, The Stranger, and The News Tribune. Willis’s music is currently on regular rotation at radio stations such as KPLU and KEXP. Willis tours regularly and has performed in numerous festivals including Bumbershoot, the Earshot Jazz Festival, Taichung Jazz Festival and the Wayward Music Festival.
