Joe Polito
Do you want to enjoy music, have fun and learn all at the same time?
My name is Joe Polito and I’ve been involved with music for 30 years. I’ve taught at Pacific Music for 19 years, as well as playing professionally.
I received instruction from a graduate of the Guitar Institute of Technology in Los Angeles, among others. I have performed in front of the legendary Flamenco Guitarist, Carlos Montoya and have also played with jazz greats, Herb Ellis and Joe Diorio.
For what it’s worth, I’ve seen Les Paul perform twice and have personally met him – both times. What a guy!
I’ve sat in with Alan White of Yes and Steve Fossen of Heart.
My playing received Honorable Mention in Guitar Player Magazine’s Soundpage Competition – an international event.
The ex-Mayor of Redmond enjoyed my music at a City Council function and a rock band I was in had its songs played on the radio.
I specialize in the various aspects of rock/pop and classical/flamenco guitar, but also play and teach most any style that’s out there.
I give bass and guitar lessons and help with theory, technique and sightreading.
In addition to teaching, I perform at weddings, parties and special events. I also do studio and session recording.
The lessons I give are definitely tailored to each individual, as my many years of experience have taught me to connect with a wide variety of people and personalities. I teach boys and girls (kids and adults) – beginner and advanced.
You are part of the equation and I will try to bring out the music that is already inside of you, so that you can enjoy the gift of a lifetime.
